Pre-operative instructions will vary from patient to patient, depending on one’s individual needs and the specific treatment that is being performed. For most of our surgical procedures, including Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), some general guidelines include:

It’s also important to try and avoid potential hazards to the scalp (sun exposure, excessive hair pulling, etc.) in the weeks leading up to your surgery. You will be asked to stop the use of hair products the day before the procedure, and to be sure to make arrangements for an adequate amount of rest at home while you heal.

Once your treatment plan is developed, Dr. Bernardino Arocha will give you a detailed list of pre-operative instructions with more guidance. As always, our team is here to assist you in any way they can, and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Contact us today for more information, or to schedule a consultation.
