Houston Hair Restoration Testimonial
In August of 2005 I decided to have hair replacement surgery on my thinning hairline I chose a nationally advertised hair replacement clinic. After several months I was partially dissatisfied with the results. I contracted for a 1000 grafts and felt like this would solve my problem. It made some improvement, but in my opinion I was worked on by a doctor who had minimal experience. I received too much hairline with grafts being placed in an unnatural position. It made some improvement, but it created other issues. I was told by one of the technicians that they had placed about 700 grafts in my scalp, but the physician had written down 1000. Be sure you do your research before you choose a hair replacement clinic. My first choice was the wrong decision for me. Be careful when choosing a hair replacement surgeon. I felt like they were a large company so they must be professional…but I was wrong. In my opinion these clinics that advertise nationally are more interested in making money than giving professional results. They will have you sign a disclaimer when you arrive that states they do not guarantee results, which seems a little different than their advertising doesn’t it? I am not saying a doctor would intentionally mess someone’s hairline up, because the liability is too great; it is just a matter of experience verses inexperience, and this is the reason for the disclaimer. They know that some of these doctors are inexperienced and are avoiding lawsuits. There is turnover with these doctors, and you do not know if you are getting someone with six months experience or six years. When someone is working on their appearance they expect expert results. I believe advertised credentials are blown up.
I knew a little about Doctor Arocha because I had read his biography on the Internet when I started thinking about hair replacement surgery. I did not know if he was still doing this type of work. But as fate would have it, I saw that he had started his own practice through a Website on the Internet. I made the call because I knew I had to find someone who could make a professional improvement on the work that had already been done. I was impressed immediately with his knowledge, experience, and he seems to have a caring, concerned quality about him. This impressed me so I decided to let him do this second procedure for me. I was still apprehensive about what I would let him do, especially after my first experience. The difference is not even comparable. He and his staff were the utmost professionals; the knowledge, experience, and skill are untouchable in my opinion. He understands this is a major decision for someone to make. He is truly trying to help the individual and their needs.
My appointment was on a Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m., I left at 6:45 p.m. They take their time and do it right; it is all about pleasing you. How many doctors would even schedule an appointment on Saturday? None that I know of, unless it is an emergency situation. The procedures and equipment he uses are tops in the industry, and the time and care given to the customers is just incredible. If you have any hair length, you cannot detect the suture line at all when you leave his office. This was quite the contrary with my first experience. I am planning on going back to let Dr. Arocha address some additional needs I have concerning my hair. You will make the right decision by choosing Dr. Arocha if you want hair replacement surgery done right. He will design a financial plan that you can afford, and it seemed to me that he was more concerned with helping me than the money he would contract for.
Another thing that really impressed me about Dr. Arocha is he called me at 9:30p.m. Friday night on my drive in to see if I was making the trip safely, and then called me again on Sunday to see how I was doing and to see if I made it back safely. I had to drive several hours each way, and no other physician would give you a thought on the weekend. This shows that he is a fine person, he cares about people, and nobody, in my opinion, surpasses his experience in hair restoration. Do not be fooled by the organizations who do all of this fancy advertising nationally as I was, make the right decision and make an appointment to see Dr. Arocha. It will be the best decision you will ever make regarding your hair needs. All the other organizations with all the advertising are just doing assembly line work. Dr. Arocha is building relationships that will last a lifetime.
If someone wishes to speak with me about Dr. Arocha or hair restoration surgery, he has my phone number I will be glad to talk with you about my experience.
Sincerely
Alan B.
